Serper is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google in any way. Serper provides web-scraped data collected from public domain sources. All trademarks and copyright are the property of their respective owners.

Usage License

Serper is a business-to-business service and does not provide end-user (consumer) services. Permission is granted to download the materials (information or software) on the Serper website and Service for as long as your use case requires. This constitutes the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license, you may not:

  • Modify, copy, prepare derivative works of, decompile, or reverse engineer any materials and software contained on the serper.dev website
  • Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials.
  • Register more than one API key at any point in time.
  • Mirror the materials on any other server as-is with no-value-added.
  • Attempt to circumvent any restrictions or limits placed on your Serper API key or account.

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Serper at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, effective immediately. All provisions of this Agreement which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, waiver and release, indemnity and limitations of liability.

Data License

As part of the Serper Service, Serper collects and generates certain Data by aggregating information regarding publicly available web pages, utilizing Serper's proprietary technology.

Data accessible through Serper may contain third-party content (such as text, images, and videos). This content will remain the sole responsibility of those who make it available. In some cases, public-domain content accessible to Serper may also be subject to intellectual property rights. If this is the case you may not use it unless you are licensed to do so or are otherwise permitted by law.

Unless applicable by law or expressly permitted by the owner, you will not, and will not permit your end users or others acting on your behalf to, do any of the following with the Data returned from the API:

  • Misrepresent the ownership or the source.
  • Obscure, remove or change any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
  • Falsify or delete any author attributions, legal notices, or other labels of the origin or source of material.

Accuracy of Materials

The materials appearing on the Serper website and Service could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Serper does not warrant that any of the materials on its website, or returned via the API, are accurate, complete or current. Serper may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice. However, Serper does not make any commitment to update the materials.

Refund Policy

Serper offers a full refund when

  • A refund request is submitted within 7 calendar days from the date of the first payment for Serper API credits.
  • Less than 20% of provided Serper API credits are used.

Customer Data

Any personal information collected from users will be securely held and processed in accordance with local law and will never be shared with or sold to third parties.

You agree to allow us to send you important notifications via email to the email address we have on record for you. You can opt out of these at any time.

Disclaimer

The materials on the Serper website and Service are provided on an 'as is' basis. Serper makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, Serper does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its website or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.

Indemnification

Both parties agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless each other, their respective licensees, and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of a) your use of the Service, by you or any person using your account and password, or b) a breach of these Terms by either party. Each party shall promptly notify the other in writing of any such claim or suit. The indemnifying party shall have the right to assume control of the defense of any such claim or litigation, and the indemnified party shall provide full cooperation and assistance in defending any such claim or litigation.

Liability

In no event shall either party or our suppliers be liable for any consequential losses suffered or incurred by the other party or any third party, nor for any amounts exceeding the fees due and payable, even if notified, orally or in writing, of the possibility of such damages. In the context of this agreement, we define “consequential loss” as including any consequential loss, indirect loss, real or anticipated loss of profit, loss of benefit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, loss of savings, loss of reputation, loss of use and/or loss or corruption of data, whether under statute, contract, equity, tort (including negligence), indemnity or otherwise.

Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

Severance

Any term of these Terms of Service which is wholly or partially void or unenforceable is severed to the extent that it is void or unenforceable. The validity of the remainder of these Terms of Service is not affected.

Modifications

Serper reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify these Terms at any time without notice and post it on its website. By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
